CNC Programmer / Operator, to operate computer-controlled lathe. The candidate will be required to understand and convert technical designs into machine-readable instructions, set up the machinery, and oversee the production of precision components. 

Direct Engineering has two welding apprenticeships available due to expansion of the fabrication section at Direct Engineering, based in Chesterfield. Direct Engineering is a diverse company with great opportunities and continues to invest in all new modern technologies to improve production and methods of manufacture.

To support the F&W team while completing an apprenticeship programme, gaining the practical skills, technical knowledge and safe working practices needed to become a competent fabricator. You will learn how to manufacture, assemble and repair metal components and structures to specification, quality standards and production deadlines.

We are offering a full time position in welding/fabrication to join our highly skilled team. You will expect to learn: MIG, TIG, MMA, Robotics, Plate Fabrication and Pipe Fabrication. Apprentices will gain valuable knowledge that will be key to their working life.
