About the Role
<p>You will be working with the Engineering team carrying out engineering duties in a professional and proactive manner, ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of all activities. First time fixes, added value engineering and appropriate communication / reporting are fundamental requirements in this role</p>
- Upkeep of existing equipment and reacting to breakdowns (Motor gearboxes, bearings, shafts, conveyors, oven, mixers, electrical panels, control circuits, power circuits
- Improvement work and install work (mechanical and electrical)
- Using hand tools, plc software, Power tools, electrical testing equipment. Pillar drill and hydraulic press
- Attending breakdowns; replacing bearings, shafts, chains, pullies, sprockets, conveyor belting, motors, gearboxes, electrical components, sensors, pneumatics, installing new equipment
- Looking at instrumentation like load cells, thermocouples etc
- A shift Engineering position with option to move on to an HNC
About the Training
- Training to include weekly day release to Sheffield College's Advanced Technology Centre at Olive Grove Rd Sheffield
