About the Role
Vecstar Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Laboratory Furnaces, Industrial Oven and Heat-Treatment equipment. Due to our ongoing success and business growth, we are seeking to recruit Engineering Apprentices onto our training programme and to work in our busy Production and Design facility in Chesterfield, near Sheffield.
- Read & understand engineering drawings produced from 3D CAD designs
- Cutting, fabrication, bending
- Mig and Tig welding
- CNC plasma cutting
- Mechanical fitting of parts including electrical motors, fans, actuators, etc.
- Final assembly and testing of complete Furnaces including safety checks & quality assurance certs
Must be able to travel to work on a daily basis and to the training Chesterfield College centre on day release.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

About the Training
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry-specific competence. You will be
expected to work towards the General Welding Level 2, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
