About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large engineering company based in Sheffield as their new engineering apprentice. The role will involve loading machines, operating machines and quality checking of products within the manufacturing area.

  • Operate robotic welding machines
  • Operate press brake machines
  • Operate laser cutting machines
  • Fabrication of parts and assemblies
  • Folding of parts
  • Loading and unloading of tooling
  • Building of products to meet specifications
  • Load and unload materials manually or using hoists/cranes
  • Packaging and moving of finished products
  • Dimensional inspections and quality control of finished products
  • Full time job with the company and opportunity for career progression

About the Training

  • An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence
  • You will be expected to work towards the Level 2 General Welder Apprenticeship, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group
