About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will provide first-line IT support to staff and learners, assist with maintaining IT equipment and systems and support the management of the college network and infrastructure.
- Provide first-line technical support to staff and learners
- Diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications and other college systems
- Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, tablets, and other devices
- Install and update software applications
- Maintain IT equipment inventories and asset records
- Assist with equipment repairs and warranty processes
- Support classroom technology, printers, and audiovisual equipment
- Help diagnose basic network connectivity issues
- Assist with user account administration and access permissions
- Follow college IT security policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Support compliance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements

All offers of employment will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, which it deems satisfactory (you will be viable for the cost of a DBS if you leave within your probationary period).
Where a post is eligible, a check against the barred lists will be undertaken. There are different types of regulated activities that employees will need to undertake as part of their role to qualify to be checked on the adult and child barred list.
It is an offence to apply for a role that involves regulated activity to children, if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
Landmarks operate across multiple sites within three counties. As the apprenticeship progresses, the successful candidate will be expected to work more independently and will be required to travel between sites as needed potentially to multiple sites per day.
As such, applicants must have a reliable means of travelling to all College locations listed below, ideally a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

About the Training
The Apprentice will attend Sheffield College - City Campus one day per week.
