About the Role
<p>As Bricklayer apprentice you’ll gain practical, hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification. This role is ideal for anyone eager to develop practical skills and contribute to creating safe, high-quality structures.</p>
- Assisting with the construction and repair of walls, partitions, and other brickwork
- Learning to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Preparing and mixing materials for bricklaying tasks
- Laying bricks, blocks, and other materials accurately and safely
- Helping to maintain a clean and organised work area
- Following health and safety guidelines at all times
- Working collaboratively with experienced tradespeople and other team members
Passing a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- There are many different routes within Wates after successful completion
- Wates offer a wide range of career progression opportunities including further qualifications on completion of the apprenticeship
- The right candidate could move into a permanent role, and we have a Trainee Management programme
About the Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
