About the Role

<p>Join Gi Group as an Apprentice People Coordinator Administrator and kickstart your HR career! Support recruitment, onboarding, HR systems and admin while learning from experienced professionals. Gain real skills, grow your confidence and earn a recognised qualification.</p>

Onboarding & offboarding – Assist with new starter paperwork, induction arrangements and exit administration to ensure smooth transitions.

HR administration – Maintain accurate employee records, update HR systems and process paperwork in line with policies and GDPR requirements.

Employee enquiries – Respond to routine colleague queries, escalate complex matters to senior team members and provide clear, friendly guidance.

Reporting & data – Assist with basic HR reporting, ensuring data is accurate and presented clearly for stakeholders.

  • Process improvement – Contribute ideas to streamline administrative processes and improve colleague experience.
  • Team collaboration – Work closely with People Team colleagues and operational teams to deliver a positive employee experience.

What success looks like:

  • Accurate, timely completion of administrative tasks and HR records.
  • Positive feedback from colleagues and hiring managers on onboarding and support activities.
  • Progression through the apprenticeship standard and demonstration of growing capability and independence.
  • Active contribution to improvements that enhance the colleague experience and team efficiency.

On successful completion of the Business Administration apprenticeship, you may be considered for full‑time permanent employment within the team. For those who demonstrate strong performance and a passion for developing their HR career, progression to a Level 3 HR Support (CIPD) apprenticeship may also be offered, providing a structured pathway into the HR profession.

About the Training

Your apprenticeship will be delivered within your work place by regular sessions with your work based college tutor.
