About the Role
CFP are a small company manufacturing Hydraulic Power Units and Earthmover Tyre Handlers. The power units could be diesel engine, petrol engine or electric motor driven and you will be expected to get involved in all aspects of putting the above equipment together.
As an apprentice, your natural abilities may include problem solving, teamwork and analytical thinking. A key part of the role will include interpersonal skills and confidence in picking up new skills and methods. CFP is part of the Challenger Group of companies who employ 70 people across 3 sites with a turnover of £12m
- Assembling Hydraulic Power Units.
- Testing Hydraulic Power Units.
- Welding and fabrication of frameworks.
- Painting Hydraulic Power Units.
- Assembling Tyre Handlers.
- Assisting with off Site installation, maintenance and fault finding.
It is hoped that once you have completed your apprenticeship you will stay with the company and become a key part of the small close-knit shopfloor team helping grow the company to its next stage.
About the Training
Engineering technician Level 3 - Mechatronics Maintenance Technician standard, delivered by Day release to college during term time.
You will gain the following qualifications;
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
- Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
